One Quilt – 2 ways!

Posted by

Pat has been keeping me busy this year with her many projects and quilty gifts.  Pat’s children and friends  are the happy  recipients  of her many projects.  These 2 quilts hung at Quilts at the Creek this past July.

We decided to do custom quilting on this particular colour-way filling the background with swirls and doing freehand feathers in the light green stars. We added  some continuous line leaf detail in the borders and finished it with classic piano keys in the very outer border. This quilt will find its home on Pat’s bed.

This next quilt was made with the same pattern and quilted with an edge to edge pantograph design. It is amazing the different looks you get just by fabric placement.

You can see that not every quilt needs custom quilting in order to finish beautifully. If you are not sure what to do with your quilt top, I would love to help you find a way to finish it with your budget.
