Planning to Travel?

Posted by

This isn’t my usual blog post, not a quilt in sight! Now that the past year is in the rearview mirror and things are opening up a bit, I decided to book a trip to visit my family in Alberta. There have been so many changes in my grandkids since I last saw them, I can’t wait to visit. I will also get to visit and hike with my eldest daughter and her fiancé. I am counting the days!

Things we took for granted in the past are extra special now. I know that I want to start to travel more and experience more of what I love. That will defintely include travelling with friends for my two favourite things: quilting and pickleball.

What about you? Are you itching to travel, or at least dreaming about it? At quiltTalk, Val and I are definitely dreaming of textiles and travel in our future.

If you are itching to travel and see what other parts of the world are up to in quilting and textiles, please join us on Wednesday, July 14 at 730 EST., when we present Brandy Maslowski, a well known Canadian quilter, blogger, and podcaster https://www.quilteronfire.com. Brandy also organizes quilt tours and retreats, she will give us a behind-the-scene scoop on quilt travel.

Do you have a friend that has not tried quiltTalk, especially one that you would like to travel with? Show them what they are missing… we offer monthly zoom talks by outstanding quilters from around the world. We have set aside a limited number of tickets available at only $5 – to hear Brandy. This is only available to those who have not yet participated in quiltTalk. Simply send their email address to vrprideaux@gmail.com or slindal@hotmail.com. We will confirm their eligibility, and send them a unique code to hear this talk.

We have some amazing speakers lined up for this fall and we don’t want you and your friends to miss out.

I will be sharing more great quilts soon! Thank you for letting me be a part of your quilty world!

  1. Good morning Sandy, I’d love to hear this talk but will be working that evening!  Do you record the sessions so that I can watch it the next day? Thank you Traceyann Crawford 🙂

    1. Hi Traceyann Nice to hear from you. We do not record out talks unless there is a big time difference, as in a speaker from Europe or Australia. Sorry you can’t join us but be sure to take advantage and send you quilty friends, its a great deal!
