Modern Flowering Snowball and QuiltTalk

Posted by

You may remember over the last few years I have shown various versions of my Flowering Snowball Quilt. During a workshop at the Etobicoke Quilt Guild my friend Val showed up with a little gift for me.   She had taken her selvages and topstitched them onto a foundation of light weight interfacing.  What a great idea!   I started to save my own selvages  and soon discovered  it takes a long time to get enough selvages when you don’t have time to sew.  I didn’t want to be greedy and ask Val for more.

  1. Looks fabulous Sandy. A nice story of sharing our bits.
And Congratulations on the recent Engagements. 💍

I have joined for both lectures and they were fabulous. I look forward to the next speaker in April. 👏

    1. I love your idea of making fabric from selvages then cutting it into shapes with a template. Your flowering snowball quilt is gorgeous in a modern setting with minimalist quilting!
