Seeing Double!

I have so much more to catch up on as far as sharing pictures of beautiful quilts but I couldn’t wait to share these with you. For those of you that have been following this blog or are my customers you might remember that last year I posted about a very special event that was happening in my life.  You can read about it here and even more about in this post.

My family has  been blessed with beautiful twin girls, Arabella Ashley and Rachel Marie.  I made the quilt tops for them and then I went out west for a little more than 2 months to help.  The names of the babies were not revealed till the birth so the tops had to wait for the quilting because I had planned to quilt their  names into the background.

This past week I received the 10 month pictures, it was more than time to get busy or I will not get the quilts to them for their first birthday. I spent the weekend quilting  with happy thoughts of all the face time I have been able to do with them and their brother.

I surrounded their names with some pebble quilting and that morphed into a freehand feather fill.  Now they just need to be bound and with my tradition of using my stash, I found some fabric that my mom gave me, a treasure from a garage sale.  It will be the perfect in every way.

I hope you are all staying safe and surviving the isolation during this time.  I am so happy to be busy with this wonderful craft that we share.
