Did you know that I can quilt heavier decorator fabric? Joanne moved to a new location, loved her duvet but didn’t need all that warmth. She took the duvet over apart and used and new back and a light weight batting. Repurposing …. that is right up my alley.
I have been meaning to write about Pat who shows up regularly at my studio with a few quilts, always gifting them to her kids or her friends kids or her friends, you get the idea. Pat loves to shop for fabric and always tells me about her Florida shopping excusrions. These are just a few of the quilts that Pat has made.
The fabric for this next quilt came from Fabricland and my picture does not do it justice. It looks like the buyers at Fabricland are starting to be a little more discriminating with their buying choices. I am not a fan of the “F” store, I feel over the years they squeezed out the little guy and then filled their stores with “buyouts” and “unknown content” and yardage they buy by the pound. This is my personal opinion only, I have a real dislike for the gouging that goes on in that organization… ugh don’t get me started! Despite my dislike for the store I really do like the quilt that Pat made and the pattern that she used.
