Love Birds

Don’t get excited by the name there are no love birds; quilted or human in my life!

I am long overdue to blog about this beautiful quilt pieced and appliqued  by Chrystle. It is a product of a workshop with Kathy Doughty held more than a year ago at Quilts at the Creek.  Chrystle basically let me have free rein on the quilting designs.  I had the toughest time deciding what to do on the border,  the squiggly lines really added an interesting effect.

This is my favourite block, reminds me of a husband and wife nattering at each other.

I had a lot f fun doing the background fill a combination of swirls and peacock feathers.

You might find this quilt hanging at the York Heritage Quilt show this November.
