I am doing a Grandma’s Star Workshop for the Kempenfelt Quilt Guild on Saturday, May the 27th. There is still space to join in the fun. This quilt is made on a flannel foundation meaning the flannel becomes the batting when the quilt is finished. Flannel instantly ages your quilt making it look like its been in the family for years.
Here is a close-up of the star, quilted with pearl cotton and big stitches. Flannel foundation quilts are great for a few reasons, they are thin and heavy at the same time and they drape around you so well!
If you would like to join in please contact me and I will put you in contact with the workshop organizer.
