Quilting is alive and well in Nova Scotia! On a recent holiday, I had the opportunity to visit a quilt show in Port Hastings, Nova Scotia while it was being set up. It was held in an old white church just as you are about to enter Cape Breton.
Every available space in this lovely old church was covered with quilts ranging from country style to modern. It was a lot of fun to talk to the ladies who were kind enough to let us shop in the quilters boutique. I bought myself a colourful pair of socks. At one of the locations we stayed, I asked what everyone did in the winter and was told a lot of snuggling! It seems a lot of quilting and crafting also.
Last but not least, another highlight of the trip was when we stood about 35- 40 yards (close enough to see him blink) from this magnificent beast.
Great moose shot. How wonderful! And I love the way the quilts were displayed in the church.
