This is the second quilt of its type made by Irene. I had a little fun teasing Irene about it because the first quilt she made was so heavy it was difficult to roll forward on my machine. In fact it was so heavy I took it to my bathroom and weighed it; 12 lbs. , I am not in the habit of weighing my customers quilts, but her first one was unusually heavy.
Totally hand pieced, I don’t know where Irene found the patience. I did a little pebbling in the centre of each flower and freehand swirls in the path between them. The flower is done with curved rulers in a sort of spirograph like design. This quilt, not as heavy as the last but sure to keep somebody very warm.
