Charlene came to the studio with her niece to have this quilted finished, what a great aunt, making quilts for her niece and involving her in the process! I love the fabrics in this quilt. If you look closely you will see the sloth in the fabric. While working on this quilt I was reminded of a story that my daughter told me. She was on a holiday in Costa Rica recently and witnessed the rescue and relocation of a baby sloth. It had to be moved from the front yard of the home she was staying in and re-located to the jungle in the back yard. This was done by getting the sloth to climb a pole and then transferring it by way of the pole to the back yard.
A lot of the fabric in this quilt came from Ewe Knits right here in Toronto. If I recall a lot of fabrics are from the Cotton and Steele collection.
