Braided Borders

I am trying to catch up and blog about the wonderful quilts that pass through my studio and get in the habit of sharing them immediately. It is difficult as I often forget to take the pictures. Colleen was very new to quilting when she took a simple quilt and brought it to a whole new level by adding a  braided border. She told me that she made the quilt from  a Yellow Brick Road Pattern and thought to herself “is that all?” — it was just too quick. She then got busy making a braided border for it.

We chose a simple allover pantograph that looked like waves. This quilt is off to Florida where it will sit on the back of her couch overlooking the aqua pool. How refreshing!
